Stunning beach house off the beaten path
The Sisal Hacienda is right on the most glorious beach you could hope for. We had the beach practically to ourselves, marvelling at the literally thousands of flamingos flying overhead to their breeding grounds in the lagoons of the Sisal nature reserve. The bird life is amazing, with beautiful brown pelicans and seabirds diving into the turquoise water right in front of the beach house. The white sand beach is very clean, with a shallow, sandy entrance and calm waters. Walk 5 minutes down the beach to the beach bar and pier, perfect for watching the sunset. Our hosts were so helpful and generous. They helped us set up our guided day trip to the nature reserve, navigate shopping and even welcomed us with 2 beautiful home-cooked meals. The house is spacious, comfortable and clean. We cooked quite a few meals and the kitchen is very well-equipped. There is a swimming pool great for cooling off and the kids had a ball in the pool. There are a bunch of coconut palms on the property and our kids spent many joyful hours attempting to knock coconuts off the trees. Our hosts were so kind to machete them open and give the kids straws to drink the delicious coconut water. We visited a couple good restaurants in Sisal. Sisal is a peaceful, charming, sleepy seaside village unmarred by tourism or commercialization. What a gem of a place.

Paradise in the Yucatan
We spent a blissful week after Christmas at this gorgeous property right on the beach in Sisal. The location is fantastic, right on the peaceful turquoise water and the town of Sisal is very quiet and the perfect antidote to the cold and hectic East Coast. Marty was a superb host and went above and beyond to make us feel at home: he suggested restaurants, helped us hire a fishing boat, found us Covid tests and more. We would highly recommend this property and love to return again soon. Thank you Marty for your generous hospitality!

Peace and quiet.
This place is perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet. Lots of nature, miles of deserted beach and the sound of waves. The house has everything you would ever need. A well stocked kitchen, games and puzzles, bogie boards, hammocks.... The town is a short walk down the beach. I can hardly wait to come back! Marty, Betty and Marcos, thank you so much for everything! You all are the best.

Great way to spend February
The owner Marty and his team were very attentive and ensured we had a lovely stay. The view each morning and being directly on the quiet beach was fantastic. Sisal is a distance from all activities which is a plus but does make it necessary to have a car and travel for most major grocery hauls and activities. It was a great holiday and weather couldn’t have been better. If I was to improve one thing it would be more comfortable seating in the living room and outdoor area. Other than that we had only good things to say about our stay.

Could not have been more perfect!
Beautiful spot in a sleepy little town, right on the beach.
We loved this place!! Marty is a wonderful host. The house was spotless and had everything weneeded. The view, the breeze, the white sand beach, water, the sleepy little town, the birds, the wetlands, the pulpo de la plancha at Palapa de Soco... what can I say? We are so happy we came and so sorry to leave. We took a great kayak tour of the wetlands with Eduard Cruz (Motoventurs Sisal) Don’t miss this!! La ciénaga is magical.
Thank you Marty for sharing this amazing place!

Amazingly Tranquil
Marty Patrick has an amazing property. You can have your morning coffee on the back patio and watch the local fishermen pass by in their boats. The pelicans and terns put on a display while driving for bait fish. Swim in the ocean or pool or just chill out. Marty goes to great lengths to insure your stay is memorable. However, remember that Sisal is a small fishing village, not Cancun. If you want an all night party atmosphere, go to Cancun. But if you want a real small town tranquil mexican experience, go to Sisal and Sur Mer. You will have only one regret, that you'll eventually have to leave.
